working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Interventional
Radiology RN in Saint Louis, Missouri, 63110! Job Title: Registered
Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Interventional Radiology
Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 Experience:
Minimum of 2 years required, critical care experience preferred.
License: Valid state license required. Certifications: BCLS, ACLS
required. Must-Have: - Critical care experience; ICU or ED
background or procedural background required. - Interpretation and
Management of Dysrhythmias required. - Must work independently. -
No visible tattoos; facial piercings must be removed or covered.
Description: All adult interventional radiology procedures will be
performed, including body, vascular, and neuro procedures. Work
will occur Monday through Friday with call required during the week
and on weekends. Weeknight call is from 1800 to 0730 and will occur
3 to 4 times during the contract. Weekend call will likely be
required for 1 to 2 weekends. Agency nurses may be designated to
stay past the end of the scheduled shift if procedures are
incomplete. Expectations include working every 5th or 6th Saturday
as needed. The average daily census is 8 patients per nurse, and
work may extend beyond the scheduled shift if procedures are in
progress. Key tasks include titrating drips, placing central lines,
conducting CT-guided procedures, and bone biopsies. Experience in a
procedural area is preferred but not required, and first-time
travelers are welcome. Candidates must pass an EKG examination and
demonstrate appropriate skills in interpretation and management of
dysrhythmias. Nurses will provide pre- and post-procedure care and
administer procedural sedation utilizing Fentanyl and Versed. The
department utilizes ultrasound, fluoroscopic, and CT-guided
technologies for procedures. The role involves working with an
adult patient population and includes participation in clinical
trials for various diagnoses and disease processes. Special
equipment used includes Phillips monitors. Candidates are expected
