Job Title: RN OR Complex Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Cardiovascular Surgery Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Variable Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: 3 years operating room experience required; vascular or heart case experience required License: Current Registered Nurse license or compact state license if living outside of Arkansas Certifications: BLS required; ACLS preferred Must-Have Skills/Experience: Circulate and scrub in OR. Ability to work in a rapid-paced environment. Navigate many computer systems. Good problem-solving skills. Ability to provide quality of care in an OR setting. Description: Performs direct patient care activities for all age groups to include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Monitors and coordinates patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort. Functions within the scope of nursing preparation and consistent with the established guidelines of nursing practice. Understands and adheres to the Nurse Practice Act, Code of Conduct, Mission and Values, and Service Standards. Ability to hear and read effectively. Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. Ability to navigate effectively in many computer systems. Ability to work in a team-focused environment. Ability to work independently. Good problem-solving skills. Ability to provide quality bedside patient care.
