Job Description ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN PACU - Post Anesthesia Care for a travel nursing job in Saint Louis, Missouri. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PACU - Post Anesthesia Care - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/02/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 10 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: /n Registered Nurse - PACU /n/n Job Details: /n • Work 4x10 hour shifts Monday through Friday with rotating start times as needed /n• No weekends, no call, and no holiday requirements /n• Guaranteed 3 shifts per 13-week contract period /n• Maximum 7 days RTO allowed per 13-week contract /n• 2 years of experience required, first-time travelers accepted /n• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS; CCRN and TNCC preferred /n• Critical care experience required for high acuity PACU area /n• Level I Trauma Center experience required /n• Must be comfortable with dysrhythmia recognition/management, blood product administration, phlebotomy, starting IVs, IV vasopressors, ICP monitoring, and care of ventilated patients /n• Experience required with drains, vasoactive drips, mechanical ventilation, and recovery from general anesthesia /n• Must pass Relias EKG exam /n• Float within scope to PACU or PreOp units as needed /n• Care for adult, adolescent, and geriatric patient populations /n• Daily census of 70-90 patients across 38 patient bays /n• Recover patients from neurosurgery, ENT, plastics, orthopedics, thoracic, vascular, trauma, general, colorectal, GYN, urological, electrophysiology, interventional radiology, and transplant surgeries /n• Does not recover open heart surgeries or liver transplants /n• Night shift personnel must learn preop patient workup procedures /n• Navy blue scrubs required /n• EPIC charting system experience preferred /n• Home address must be at least 75 miles from facility /n/n Facility: /n This is a major academic medical center and Level I Trauma Center with 1,273 staffed beds, featuring Magnet designation and teaching hospital status. The facility operates a comprehensive 24/7 PACU with 38 patient bays and maintains high-acuity post-operative care capabilities. The organization provides advanced specialty services including neurosciences, cardiovascular care, transplant services, and trauma care, with 80% of PACU patients requiring hospital admission after procedures.
