ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Saint Louis, Missouri. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/02/2026 - Duration: 16 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Job Details: • Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM • First week will have day shift hours ranging from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM for orientation • 36 guaranteed hours per week • Patient ratios of 1:4-6 • Every other weekend required • No on-call responsibilities • Float within service line to meet facility needs • 2 years med/surg experience required • Travel experience required • Required certifications: BLS • Epic charting system experience required • Must pass Relias EKG exam with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias • Navy scrubs required • Required skills include: Med/Surg, Telemetry remote monitoring, Colostomy care, Feeding tube care and management, Blood Product Administration, Central line blood draw, Peripheral Line Care/Management, Phlebotomy, PICC line management, Starting IVs, Heparin, Insulin, PCA • Administer various drips including Heparin, Lidocaine, Bicarb, Bivalrudin, and Amiodarone • Manage PCAs, Epidurals, and CBIs with different irrigation solutions • Work with centralized telemetry monitoring • Handle special procedures including foleys, continuous bladder irrigation, and TURPS protocols • Care for patients with ostomy, colon resection, colon cancer, bladder cancer, GU, and medical overflow conditions • Work on high turnover surgery patient unit with 32 daily census and 38 beds • Maximum 7 days RTO per 13-week contract • No locals accepted within 75-mile radius Facility: This healthcare organization is a major academic medical center serving as both a Magnet-designated facility and Level I Trauma Center with 1,266 staffed beds.
