Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PACU - Post Anesthesia Care - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/02/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 10 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: Registered Nurse - PACU Job Details: • Work 4x10 hour shifts, Monday through Friday with rotating start times as needed • No weekends, no call, and no holiday coverage required • Guaranteed 3 shifts per 13-week contract • 2 years of experience required, with Level I Trauma Center experience mandatory • Critical care experience required for high-acuity PACU patients • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS (CCRN and TNCC preferred) • Must have experience with drains, vasoactive drips, mechanical ventilation, and recovery from general anesthesia • Skills required: dysrhythmia recognition/management, blood product administration, phlebotomy, starting IVs, IV vasopressors, ICP monitoring, and care of ventilated patients • Must be comfortable with post-cardiac surgery, lobectomy, chest trauma, exploratory laparotomy, splenectomy, and trauma patients • Float capability required within scope to PACU, PreOp, ICU, main PACU, PCU, medical-surgical, and ER holding units • Care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in a Level I trauma center setting • Daily census of 70-90 patients across 38 patient bays • Navy blue scrubs required • EPIC charting system experience preferred • Must pass Relias EKG exam • Night shift personnel must learn preoperative patient workup procedures • Home address must be at least 75 miles from facility • Maximum 7 days requested time off per 13-week contract Facility: This healthcare facility is a Magnet-designated teaching hospital and Level I Trauma Center with 1,273 staffed beds.
