Unit experience - Surgical Intensive Care Unit experience -
Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias - Management of
patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure - Central
Venous Pressure Monitoring and Pulmonary Artery Line monitoring -
Ventilator management and care of ventilated patients Description:
The position is for an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in
the Intensive Care Unit. Candidates must have experience in the
Medical and Surgical Intensive Care Units. The nurse will be
responsible for managing a patient ratio of 1:2. Experience with
interpretation and management of dysrhythmias is crucial.
Management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction or
failure is a requirement. Candidates must be proficient in
obtaining 12 lead EKGs and monitoring central venous pressures.
Experience with ventilator management and care for ventilated
patients is necessary. The Registered Nurse will also be
responsible for providing care to patients with respiratory failure
and performing blood product administration. A commitment to
infection prevention, isolation precautions, and the use of
personal protective equipment is essential. Candidates should
possess skills in phlebotomy and wound management. Certification in
BLS and ACLS is required. The nurse will collaborate with an
interdisciplinary team to provide optimal patient care. Every other
weekend availability is required. Candidates should be prepared to
