Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 12/01/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Telemetry position requiring a MO or compact license and proficiency with EPIC charting. Responsibilities - Position is in the Telemetry unit of an acute care hospital - Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 19:00 to 07:30 - Patient ratio is 1:5-6 - Must work 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week period and holidays as needed - Will float within scope to meet facility needs or to affiliate hospitals as required - Primarily utilizes telemetry equipment for cardiac monitoring, with responsibility for rhythm reading and administration of cardiac medications and drips without titration - Uses EPIC for electronic charting, prior experience preferred - Expected to float within the hospital and to affiliate hospitals as needed - Patient care will include monitoring cardiac rhythms, administering specified cardiac medications and drips, and responding rapidly to changes in patient status - Fit testing is required; facial hair must be managed for proper mask fit - Must complete pre-employment modules prior to start date - Return staff policy: must wait one year if previously employed as permanent staff in the system - Maximum of 7 days of requested time off per 13-week contract; no RTO allowed in the first week - Free on-site parking provided Requirements - Active MO or compact RN license required; pending license accepted - Minimum of 2 years recent telemetry nursing experience required - Certifications required: BCLS and NIHSS; ACLS and CPI preferred - Ability to independently interpret tele/rhythm strips and administer cardiac medications - EPIC charting experience preferred - Must reside outside a 75 mile radius from the facility; local candidates not accepted - First-time travelers are accepted - No artificial or nail enhancements and no Crocs with holes; navy blue uniform required Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-627033.
