Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 12/08/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry/Step-Down position requiring a MO or compact RN license, ACLS/BLS certification, and EPIC experience. Responsibilities - Position based in a short-term acute care, Magnet & teaching hospital with Level I trauma designation - Work within a Telemetry/Step-Down unit caring for cardiac and post-acute patients - Typical patient ratio is 1:4-5 - 36 or 48 hours per week available, night shift (3x12 hours, 19:00–07:30) - Every other weekend is required - No on-call duties - Floating required within hospital and possibly to affiliate hospitals nearby - Uses EPIC as the charting system, EPIC experience required - Must be able to complete and pass fit testing (facial hair requirements apply) - Maximum of 7 days of requested time off per 13-week contract, with no time off allowed during the first week of orientation - Orientation modules must be completed prior to start - Navy blue scrubs required - Night shift parking is free; day/night rotation requires a monthly parking fee - Return staff policy requires a 3-month break after 18 months for standard travelers - Completion of professional references and recent skills checklist required for consideration Requirements - Active MO or compact RN license required - Minimum of 2 years recent Telemetry/Step-Down nursing experience - Current ACLS and BLS certifications required - Experience with EKG monitoring and cardiac drips required - EPIC charting experience required - No local candidates within a 75 mile radius - No permanent employment in the health system within the past year Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-629977.
