Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: MRI Technologist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: 12/01/2025 - Duration: 12 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist with at least 2 years of MRI experience and ARRT certification for a weekend position. Responsibilities - Work in a short-term acute care facility, non-trauma center, with a small department featuring two Siemens MRI scanners (Siemens Vida 3T and Siemens 1.5T) - Patient population consists mostly of geriatric and obese patients - Approximate caseload of 12–20 exams per tech daily - Weekend day shifts: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM - One night of on-call duty required per week - Potential to float within hospital or to nearby affiliated facilities within the service line - Uses EPIC and Sectra for documentation; experience with EPIC is required - No local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius - Primary responsibilities include performing MRI exams and collaborating with a small, supportive team - Scrub color is pewter - Parking is free onsite - Maximum of 7 days RTO allowed per 13-week contract; no RTO in the first week - Permanent employees must wait one year before returning as a traveler to any facility in the system - Travelers may remain for up to 12 months before requiring a 6-month break - Orientation modules must be completed prior to start Requirements - Minimum of 2 years MRI technologist experience on Siemens XA 60 platform or equivalent - Current BLS, ARRT, and ARRT Advanced Certification required - Experience and proficiency operating Siemens MRI systems is required - Must be comfortable screening for implants (no pacemaker scans performed) - MO State License or compact license required at time of consideration; pending license accepted if applicable - References from two supervisors within the past two years are preferred - Must complete fit testing according to facility policy - EPIC charting experience required - License required if applicable Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-629568.
