three inpatient Psychiatric units and an Outpatient ECT staffed by

With a safe, patient-centered approach to Psychiatric care, we
deliver high-quality care using group activity and music therapies,
one-to-one care as needed, and an interdisciplinary team in
state-of-the-art patient care units. A combined total of 46
inpatient beds exist across Intensive, Medicine and Geriatric Psych
units. The Psychiatric Medicine unit offers a unique opportunity to
work in an environment that combines medical and Psychiatry.
Intensive Psych allows our team to work with those who are acutely
ill. The Geriatric unit is for those who truly have a passion for
the elderly population in Psych. The team in Psychiatry is a
well-rounded group caring for patients with a wide range of
Psychiatric illnesses. Safety is a high priority, with numerous
safety measures in place for patients and staff. Preferred
Qualifications Role Purpose Provides direct patient care activities
including assessment, diagnosis, planning implementation, and
evaluation within the guidelines of the standards of nursing care.
Responsibilities - Promotes patient and family centered care in a
healing environment. Educates patients and their families on how to
manage their illness or injury, including post treatment home care
needs and medication administration. - Participates in activities
that promote patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance.
Participates in professional development. - Develops, implements,
and documents individual plans of care with defined goals in
collaboration with other members of the interprofessional team and
patient, family or caregiver in accordance with the established
guidelines and standards of nursing care. Proactively plans and
ensures communication of the plan of care across the continuum of
care. - Uses critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate
physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs according to standards
of care. Assess patient preferences and barriers to involvement in
care, including their values, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and
