Job Title: Telemetry Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year required License: Active state license required Certifications: BLS required; ACLS and NIH preferred Must-Have: Experience in MS/Tele, Telemetry, Cardiac Telemetry. Cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills. Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias. Telemetry monitoring both on the unit and remotely. Experience with rapid response teams. Experience with cardiovascular cases such as post cardiac angiogram, post MI, and pre/post cardiac catheterization. Familiarity with IV insulin protocols. IV therapy and phlebotomy skills including blood product administration and central line care. Ability to manage cardiac drips and titrate as necessary. Experience with respiratory cases involving chest tubes, external CPAP/BIPAP, and high flow nasal cannula. Knowledge of isolation precautions and wound care. Description: Position available for a Telemetry Registered Nurse specializing in cardiac care. The shift is four nights per week. Average daily census is 25 patients. Candidates must have a minimum of one year of nursing experience. First-time travelers are accepted. Weekend shifts will be required every other weekend. No on-call shifts are required. Plan on floating to like units to meet hospital needs. Candidates should be open to discussing block scheduling requests with management. Local candidates are welcome with no radius restrictions. Request time off should ideally not exceed five days. There are specific requirements regarding cancellations and on-call shifts. Candidates must have experience in cardiac telemetry and emergency response. Skills in managing and administering specific therapies are essential. The facility operates as a Level I trauma center and is a Magnet recognized hospital. Annually, clinical modules will be required.
