qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Saint Louis, Missouri, 63128 Pay
Information $1,912 per week About The Position Job Title:
Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Surgical/Neuro ICU Job
Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights, 19:00 - 07:30 Guaranteed Hours:
36 or 48 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years of ICU
experience License: Current RN License eligible in the state of
Missouri or currently licensed in the state of Missouri
Certifications: BLS and ACLS from AHA only, NIHSS Must-Have: 2
years of inpatient ICU experience, care of acute stroke, trauma,
and surgical patients Job Description: - Utilize the nursing
process to provide patient care for post-trauma, surgical
interventions, and medical co-morbidities. - Maintain professional
accountability for the provision of patient care. - Evaluate the
overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers.
- Coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments. -
Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
- Perform duties and responsibilities consistent with
organizational mission, values, and service standards. - Monitor
and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments
to optimize patient care and comfort. - Stand and walk most of the
time on duty, meeting unit-specific physical demands. - Be prepared
for significant amounts of bending, stooping, and lifting or
turning patients with assistance. - Work differing schedules,
shifts, and days of the week according to patient care
requirements. - Handle high-risk exposure to blood and body fluids.
- Apply skills in bedside telemetry, ventilators, bipap/cpap,
ventriculostomy, arterial lines, central lines, arctic sun, CRRT,
and Zoll. - Utilize electronic medical records efficiently. This
role demands attention to detail, accountability, and a commitment
to providing exceptional care to neuro, trauma, and surgical
patients within a comprehensive stroke center and level 2 trauma
