OverviewMercy Behavioral Health Services provides a structured and therapeutic environment to individuals suffering from psychiatric illness, behavioral disorders, and chemical dependency. Our dedicated multi-disciplinary team promotes a structured therapeutic program to help those in crisis through evaluation, education, medication therapy, individual and group therapy, and relapse prevention.Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintain professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients.
• Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
• Coordinate the patient care in conjunction with other departments.
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.
  • Personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the state of Missouri and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR certification through the American Heart Association.
  • Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift.
