Job Summary
Lead a team of nurses in a Med/Surg department, providing patient care and coordinating unit staffing to achieve clinical objectives and quality patient outcomes.

Job Description:
As a leader in the Med/Surg department, you will be responsible for:

• 
  
• Assigning and directing nursing and support staff during assigned shifts
  
• Assessing daily patient care needs and developing patient care assignments
  
• Collaborating with advanced practice providers to ensure quality outcomes
  
• Evaluating patient care effectiveness and identifying areas for improvement
  
• Responding to patient complaints and managing through established channels
  
• Providing input for hiring, training, and evaluating staff
  
• Working in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
  
  Requirements:
  
  • 
    
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
    
  • One year of registered nurse experience
    
    Physical Requirements:
    
    • 
      
    • Constant use of speech to share information through oral communication
      
    • Constant standing and walking
      
    • Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs
      
    • Frequent sitting, reaching, and keyboard use/data entry
      
    • Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near and far
      
    • Frequent use of smell to detect/recognize odors
      
    • Frequent use of hearing to receive oral communication
      
    • Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs
      
    • Occasional lifting/moving of patients
      
    • Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting, gripping, and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements
      
    • Occasional driving
      
    • Rare crawling and running
