Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Medical Surgical -
Trauma Job Duration: 13 weeks (opportunity for extension) Shift:
Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30), Weekend Only Schedule
(Friday-Sunday) Guaranteed Hours: Yes Experience: 2 years required
License: Missouri license or a compact license required. Pending
license accepted. Certifications: BCLS required Must-Have: -
Experience in Med/Surg, Blood Product Administration, Peripheral
Line Care/Management, Phlebotomy - Skills in Starting IVs, Insulin,
PCA, Spinal cord injuries, Traumatic Brain injury, Ortho trauma -
Experience with Peripheral nerve block catheters, Total Joint
Replacements, Surgical drains, Chest tubes - Familiarity with
CPAP/BiPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Nasal Cannula, Oral
suctioning, Oxygen face masks, Portable Oxygen tank, Isolation
Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac - Level 1 Trauma Experience Job
Description: - Work in a Magnet & Teaching Hospital / Level I
Trauma Center - Handle patient diagnoses from Emergency, Operating,
or Intensive Care Units - Manage geriatric trauma cases, trauma
cases (abuse/violence victims, motor vehicle accidents, falls) -
Provide acute care surgery for appendicitis, gallbladders, hernia
repairs, fistulas, wounds, and burns - Use special equipment such
as lifts, restraints, wound vacs, traction, and external fixators -
Use the EPIC charting system - No on-call requirement but must
float within scope to meet facility needs - Not open to
accommodating block schedule - No local candidates accepted within
a 75-mile radius. - Must have EPIC experience - Must adhere to flu
vaccination requirements with medical/religious exemptions only
