Job Description:

Seeking a skilled Social Worker to support patients and families in a Level 1 trauma center emergency department, providing assistance with social determinants of health, trauma certification, and crisis intervention.

Job Highlights:

• Eligible for a $2,500 Sign On Bonus
  
• Part Time, Variable Shift (mix of days and nights) 7:00pm-7:00am and 7:00am-7:00pm; weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
  
• Location: SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital - St. Louis, MO
  
  
  Responsibilities:
  
  • 
    
  • Interviews patients, assesses priorities and documents case activity
    
  • Assists patients/families with obtaining community assistance by referral to proper resources
    
  • Develops and maintains working relationships with community health, welfare, and social agencies
    
  • Collaborates with team members regarding opportunities for improvement in standard work
    
  • Supports 24/7 on-site availability at Level 1 trauma center
    
  • Consults with members of the multi-disciplinary team and acts as a liaison with community resources
    
  • Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
    
    
    Requirements:
    
    • 
      
    • Master's degree in Social Work
      
    • 2-3 years experience
      
      
      Physical Requirements:
      
      • 
        
      • Frequent reaching, sitting, standing and walking
        
      • Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more)
        
      • Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication
        
      • Frequent keyboard use/data entry
        
      • Occasional bending, stooping, climbing, twisting and gripping
        
      • Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs
        
      • Occasional use of vision to identify and distinguish colors
        
      • Occasional driving
