Job Description:
Highly skilled nurse required to provide exceptional patient

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive preoperative assessments and develop
individualized nursing interventions to ensure optimal patient
outcomes.
- Prioritize multiple complex patient and physician needs to
delegate and coordinate care provided by the surgical
team.
- Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and physicians to
anticipate needs and develop actions to address complaints related
to patient care processes.
- Maintain and enhance professional clinical skills by seeking
out learning situations and staying current with advances in
nursing techniques and technologies.
- Provide leadership and guidance to less-experienced RNs and
technicians, and serve as a consultant to all personnel in area(s)
of nursing expertise.
- Exhibit advanced clinical judgment and demonstrate a
willingness to take on special projects to improve processes within
the department.
- Work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner, and
perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or equivalent
education for licensing.
- Two years' advanced surgical experience.
Physical Requirements:
- Constant use of speech to share information through oral
communication.
- Constant standing and walking.
- Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing
0-25 lbs.
- Frequent sitting, reaching, and keyboard use/data
entry.
- Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near
(20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and
distinguish colors.
- Frequent use of smell to detect/recognize odors.
- Frequent use of hearing to receive oral communication,
distinguish body sounds, and/or hear alarms, malfunctioning
machinery, etc.
- Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects
weighing 25-50 lbs.
- Occasional lifting/moving of patients.
- Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting,
gripping, and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
- Occasional driving.
- Rare crawling and running.
Professional Licenses and Certifications:
- Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American
Heart Association (AHA).
- Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of
Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR).
- Registered Nurse (RN) - Missouri Division of Professional
Registration.
- Registered Nurse (RN) Issued by Compact State.
- Registered Nurse (RN) - Oklahoma Board of Nursing
(OBN).
- Registered Nurse (RN) - Wisconsin Department of Safety and
Professional Services.
