(Only QUALIFIED Healthcare Professionals accepted) MANAGER - HEALTH INFORMATION MANAGEMENT

Plans, develops, and manages activities, workload, and special projects for the Health Information Management department to meet the standards set by the Hospital and TJC.

- Bachelors Degree in Health Information Management or related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience required
- Eligible to test for Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) within two years of date of hire required
- Minimum four years experience in health information management, computer science, or health services with a minimum of two years experience in supervision and/or management required
- Proficiency in medical coding software required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint required
- Considerable knowledge of pertinent federal, state, and local regulations governing records and reports of medical care, vital statistics, and diseases, HIPAA, coding and transcription
- Ability to compile complex records and reports, schedules and quality audits
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
