Job Description:

The construction Project Engineer will be going to meetings to write minutes, reviewing scopes and bids, working with schedules, etc. This construction Project Engineer will be working alongside a team on projects, and will have the ability to advance to a Project Manager role based on performance within their first year.
Client Details
This client is a growing general contractor with a strong backlog of work coming into 2022 with a track record of successful projects with their clients. They are at about $140 million in annual revenue currently and are aiming to get to $200M in the next 1-2 years. They specialize in design-build work and assist their clients in all stages of the construction process. They have a strong emphasis on the industrial space, namely data center work, as well as work in the healthcare sector. They are currently participating in multiple large-scale joint ventures that will be here in the Midwest and east coast. Because of the growth they are experiencing, they are looking to add talent to their project management team to develop into a leadership position eventually. This role will realistically advance into a project manager position within 1 year.
The construction Project Engineer will be responsible for:
Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
Perform risk management to minimize project risks
Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
Meet with clients to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project
The construction Project Engineer should posses the following:
2-5 years of experience with a general contractor
Procore experience is a must
Multifamily construction experience is a plus
Strong communication and ability to work directly with clients
Bachelors Degree in Construction Science, Management, or something similar
