ABOUT EPIC: We are looking for a sales professional that has a demonstrated track record of breaking into corporate accounts in which his company started out as an unknown. This is an individual of great confidence and persistence. In other words, we are looking for a Hunter, not a Farmer. This individual does not view their role as "handling leads", but rather one of "landing projects". This individual treats sales as a true profession in the same manner an engineer, a doctor or an accountant does. They are life-long students who continually update skills, learn new techniques, harness the power of ever-changing technological aids and develop new strategies in a world where industrial buyers evolve in the manner they make buying decisions. The right candidate will demonstrate superior organizational skills which allow them to simultaneously advance penetration into multiple strategic accounts. The ability to understand and assimilate the fundamental concepts of how process systems function is essential. We are looking for candidates that call sell complex integrated solutions, not just memorize features and benefits of a single piece of equipment. Role Accountabilities:

  • Work with Director of Sales to develop target corporate client list per the following criteria
    • Manufacturing plants that conduct process operations
      • Industrial chemicals
      • Agricultural chemicals
      • Petrochemicals
      • Consumer products
      • Food and beverage
      • Pharmaceutical
      • Revenue > $500MM
      • Large R&D budget
      • Market leader in their industry
      • International scope of operations
      • Work with Business Development to identify key decision makers in target companies
      • Contact key decision makers in target companies
      • Develop relationships with key decision makers in target companies
      • Work with Business Development to get on approved vendor list at target companies
      • Secure opportunities to bid on turnkey modular and stick-built process systems projects at target companies
        • Design engineering
          • Process engineering
          • Mechanical engineering
          • Power and controls engineering
          • 3-D module design
          • Automation and programming
          • Procurement
            • Equipment
            • Valves
            • Instruments
            • Control systems
            • HMI systems
            • Fabrication and assembly of process modules at EPIC Systems
            • Construction management and field installation at client site of modular and stick-built process systems
            • Field checkout
            • Commissioning Desired Skills and Qualifications:
              • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university
              • Approaches sales as a true profession and understands the need to continuously improve strategies and techniques to meet the evolving needs of the B to B marketplace
              • Can show evidence of developed sales processes and consistent application of said processes
              • Proven track record of securing integrated systems business in large and mid-size corporations
              • Strong work ethic, interpersonal, listening, questioning and written/verbal communication skills
              • Ability to learn hands-on, multi-task, work cross-functionally as well as a strong attention to detail
              • Experience in the manufacturing sector
              • Experience selling integrated systems
              • Experience in process industries preferred
              • Demonstrated record of securing projects between $2 million and $15 million
                • Working knowledge of process plants

                    • ASME B31.3 and B31.1
                    • Sanitary process system design concepts
                      Hygienic design

                          • Hot oil
                          • Electric
                          • Cooling systems
                            • Cooling towers
                            • Tempered water systems

                              • Basic understanding of control platforms (i.e. ABB, Allen Bradley, Siemens, etc---)
                              • Ability to represent EPIC in a professional, ethical and socially responsible manner
                              • Equal respectful of others, regardless of their position
                              • Ability to properly balance cost, schedule and quality of the delivered project
                              • Ability to advance efforts in support of landing opportunities at multiple strategic corporate targets by working them in parallel throughout the year
                              • Self-directed and forward thinking
                              • Capable of clarifying complex decisions that guide the client to make the proper choices
                              • Able to respectfully take control and set direction when external direction is lacking when interacting with the client
