Job Description:

Description Role Purpose: Manages Electronic Health Record (EHR) application teams which includes recruiting, hiring and growing team members. Responsible for implementation and on-going optimization of the EHR and serves as the IT leadership sponsor for EHR projects. Coordinate all clinical and business activities as they relate to daily operations, maintenance, quality assurance, data integrity and end user support processes. Using effective communication skills, the individual will facilitate operational decision-making with multi-entity leadership and lead the corresponding work team efforts. Responsible for creating and maintaining processes that increase ability to understand and meet customer needs in the most efficient and cost effective manner. Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for team member performance management; recruiting, hiring, growing and leading a team of EHR Application Specialists.
    • Works with team members to set and work towards professional development and performance goals.
    • Establishes and publishes clear priorities for team members. Monitor dynamic work assignments and make adjustments as needed.
    • Applies sound judgment and decision-making skills to facilitate resolution of issues in a timely manner and determine when to escalate issues to various levels of leadership.
    • Develops strong relationships with peer IT managers in order to successfully deliver multi-disciplinary initiatives. Additionally collaborate to develop recommendations to change processes and oversee implementation of process improvements.
    • Analyzes key decision points and facilitate multi-entity decision making for assigned systems and technologies.
    • Ensures all entity business units' support and project needs are represented and understood in order to plan for and meet current and future needs.
    • Creates strong relationships with operational partners; understand and promote the value and features of the clinical and financial system(s) to all aspects of the business. Partners with operations to prioritize initiatives and address key issues in a way resulting in optimal customer service.
    • Establishes and maintains forums to engage end users in the implementation and use of clinical and financial information technology, ensuring feedback is captured, organized, and translated in system designs.
    • Understands requirements of governmental and other regulatory agency initiatives to ensure compliance and maximize any incentive opportunities.
    • Manages an operating expense budget and provide input into the development of capital budgets as needed.
    • Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum Requirements:
      • Bachelors degree required
      • 5 to 8 years of experience required
      • 1 to 3 years of supervisory experience required Preferred Qualifications:
