The Director-Human Resources (HR) serves as the HR leader for Mercy Virtual. Located in Chesterfield, Missouri, the Mercy Virtual Care Center building is the world's first virtual care center. Mercy Virtual serves as a nationally recognized center for developing and delivering telehealth.
The Director-Human Resources will serve as a strong business partner and will be a ccountable for the strategic and tactical direction, operational leadership and implementation of human resources services, initiatives, and programs that will attract, develop, engage, and retain the breadth of talent in support of and consistent with the Mercy's ministry, mission, and strategic and operational goals and objectives. The position will provide strong and effective leadership, direction, and professional expertise in all areas of HR management to improve organizational effectiveness. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
SCOPE: The position has two direct reports (one in HR and a manager in administration).
Identifies, develops and implements strategic HR initiatives and solutions. Serves as a key resource to Mercy Virtual senior leadership o, strategic, operational and people issues. Provides leadership in all areas of HR, and works collaboratively with all HR centers of excellence (e.g., compensation, talent selection, benefits, training/education, etc.) to implement HR goals and programs. Provides leadership in the development and implementation of comprehensive strategies to enhance commitment to cultural diversity. Implements Ministry-wide HR policies and procedures and assures compliance with all state and federal regulations. Ensures consistency in policy application. Directs the resolution of complex co-worker relation issues. Develops department budget and maintains fiscal accountability for human resources operations. Prepares quarterly HR reports for the Mercy Virtual board of directors. Assumes other responsibilities as delegated . Ensures the delivery of high-quality HR services to ensure Mercy Virtual HR is service oriented credible, outcomes driven, innovative, user-friendly and responsive.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Management or Business or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 5 years progressive leadership experience in Human Resources.
- Experience in healthcare is highly desirable.
- Strong strategic and operations HR experience.
- Strong co-worker relations experience.
- Comfortably confronts and works through change; is energized by change.
- Excellent communications skills; writes and presents effectively.
- Well-organized and self-directed individual.
- Team player and superior service orientation.
- Change management champion.
- Strong relationship skills; ability to articulate and relate to people at all levels.
- Strong communication, adaptability and flexibility orientation; ability to work with diverse groups.
- Ability to work with and preserve confidential information. Preferred Experience: Strongly prefer HR leadership experience in health care.
