Overview:

Responsible for the coordination, and implementation of Ambulatory, Specialty and Retail Pharmacy Services across an assigned areaof less than10 locations. Ensure that all local, state and federal rules and regulations are followed in Mercy Ambulatory Pharmacies. Responsible for identifying potential and existing drug-related problems and taking appropriate actions to prevent or resolve them. Work closely with the medical staff to design and implement pharmaceutical protocols. Facilitates the development and ongoing management of systems that promote desirable patient outcomes through the use of safe, cost-effective medication therapy. Ensures the efficient utilization of resources to meet productivity and financial goals.Supports a compliant and effective 340B drug program. Coordinates specialty pharmacy services in collaboration with other pharmacy managers. Designs, implement and coordinates appropriate marketing programs to attract and maintain customer business. Inspires a shared vision, demonstrating the value of change and presenting it to co-workers with enthusiasm. Models professional standards, having a positive attitude, and engaging co-workers to become leaders of change. The Manager, Ambulatory Pharmacy encourages the heart of co-workers by providing both public and private recognition and connecting on a personal level with those that they serve.Holds direct and indirect care providers accountable for their professional responsibilities and adherence to regulatory guidelines. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
Qualifications:

• 
  
• Experience: 3 years experience in ambulatory/retail pharmacy setting and 3 years experience in management
  
• Required Education: -Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and/or Doctor of Pharmacy degree. MS, MBA, MHA preferred. ASHP Accredited Residency and/or equivalent management training preferred.
  
• Licensure:Possess or eligible for current Missouri Pharmacist Licensure
  
• Certifications: Missouri Board of Pharmacy Medication Therapy Services
  
• Other: This position requires an individual possessing both clinical and management skills and career interest. A sound understanding of contemporary hospital pharmacy practice is necessary, as is a comprehensive clinical competency in all age groups serviced.
