Job Description

We are looking for a proactive problem-solver with a continuous improvement mindset and excellent follow-through to join our growing team!

The successful candidate must be a seasoned Project Manager experienced in supply chain activities related to new product development (NPD), and familiar with the phase-gate process to support new product launches that are on time, within budget, and within scope. Using excellent communication skills, the individual will collaborate with the project teams early to identify project cost and schedule risks and provide creative solutions to mitigate those risks. He or she will improve existing processes and suggest innovative technology solutions to improve overall project execution.

Responsibilities include:

  • Proactively engage all relevant project stakeholders to optimize the overall project scope and objectives, ensure the scope is feasible within the cost, quality and schedule requirements
  • Develop a detailed project plan which sets out the timing of various sourcing activities required within each NPD phase to meet overall project milestones
  • Successfully manage several projects at once, establishing clear priorities based on customer requirements
  • As needed, engage suppliers directly to make sure project requirements are well understood and met
  • Measure and report project performance using appropriate tools and techniques, and manage changes to the scope, schedule, or costs
  • Perform continuous risk management to raise concrete or potential risks to the appropriate level of the organization in order to secure proper support and overcome challenges
  • Incorporate lessons learned into continuous process improvement actions either within Procurement or elsewhere in the business
  • Clearly communicate project status on a regular basis to various cross-functional teams
  • Depending on project requirements and available resources, some amount of direct sourcing activity may be required Requirements:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.
    • 2-3 years or more experience managing projects, preferably in a new product introduction or supply chain capacity.
    • Demonstrated experience sourcing materials or products, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams to achieve a common goal.
    • Experience presenting to senior management to provide project updates, gain approval for negotiation strategies, etc.
    • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skillset is required (Vlookups, Pivot Tables, IF Functions, etc.)
    • Experience using Microsoft Project (or similar tool) to manage project timelines
    • Experience using Microsoft Power BI (or similar tool) to link various data sources and create visual representations of data is preferred
    • Project Management or APICS certification preferred
    • Fluency in English (written and verbal) is required, proficiency in Spanish is preferred
