-Director of Student Support - ServicesSummaryThe Director of
Student Support Services provides leadership and support in meeting
the tiered needs of students in the areas of: neurodiverse
learning, behavioral development, academic development for students
with gaps in their learning, and overall student well-being. Also a
Director of student support services plays a vital contributor to
school culture. -KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Special Populations Program
ManagementDevelop, monitor, supervise, and manage all aspects of
Special Education, ELL, Gifted/Talented, and Section 504 processes
including scheduling, meeting, chairing, IEP writing, signature
trackdown, transition planning, and progress reportingFacilitate
processes to ensure vision and alignment of services for students
in 5th-12th grades or their entire Kairos experienceEnsure that
IEPs and 504s are high quality, including goals aligned to existing
curriculum and assessments whenever possible through development of
school-based teamsParticipate in dispute resolution meetings,
hearings and mediation settlement meetings as neededMaintain open
lines of communication regarding special services with all
interested parties and respond promptly to questions and concerns
of families and community members.Lead the Special Education Parent
Advisory Council -School-Based Development and SupportCollaborate
with Principals, Leadership Teams, teachers, and related service
providers to manage activities related to compliance with all state
and federal regulationsCollaborate with Managers of Support
Services and School Leaders to ensure staff are internalizing IEPs
and 504s and are implementing them with integrityCollaborate with
teachers, counselors, and the Leadership Team to develop,
implement, and track intervention support plans for students to
address acute needs.Provide and/or arrange professional development
and support for special education teachers and related service
providersConsult with and support special education teachers and
related service providers in their responsibilities to chair
reviews and develop IEPs for these studentsWrite IEPs as determined
by the Managing Director of SchoolsManage Speech and Language
Pathologists and contracted service providers such as Occupational
Therapists and ABA Therapists as needed and directedEnsure students
receive appropriate testing accommodationsProvide support to IDs
and Managers of Student Support Services regarding research-based
and effective instructional and social-emotional-behavioral
practicesNetwork Responsibilities- -Embody Kairos code of conduct

correct them.Qualifications -
Bachelor's degree RequiredMasters
degree - PreferredValid Missouri Teacher Certification, Required3+
years of teaching experience with students with disabilities
RequiredProficient understanding of state and federal requirements
for support of students with disabilities (IEPs, 504, etc) and
English Language LearnersSatisfactory completion of criminal
records check, pre-hire and annually thereafter, if applicable.Must
be eligible to work in the United States and provide work
authorization.Additional Knowledge and Skills
