Job Description:
SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: RISE services are
specifically designed for providing services to the
transitioned-age youth population 18-26. RISE is composed of a both
small congregate living settings, several supported clustered
apartment settings and groups, activities, and programming that is
beneficial to addressing the supportive needs of the transition-age
service population. RISE focuses on Responsibility, Integration,
Stabilization, and Evaluation. This position oversees the RISE
residential services department for ALM Hopewell Center which
includes supervising the assistant program manager and the direct
care and residential services facility-based staff. The position is
responsible for management and oversight of the RISE residential
service (group home settings and Clustered Apartment locations).
STRIVE services are specifically designed for adults with a mental
illness and provides a supportive learning environment that is
responsive to the overall wellness needs of each resident. STRIVE
services offers both a congregate living setting as well as a
clustered apartment setting. This position would also provide
management and oversight of the EMBRACE Deaf Services small
individualized congregate living setting for provides residential
housing and supports to MI adults that are deaf. The position would
also provide oversight of the Crisis beds and crisis support
services. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: This position assist
with the screening, selection and admittance of residents to
residential service level program and provides oversight. Assist
with facility management, guidance, and direction for the program.
Completes all required residential documentation and monitor .
Assist with coordination of shopping, expense management, client
accounts, and facility monitoring. Supervises and manage
facility-based staff and and participate in regularly scheduled
team meetings with program staff. Within limits of experience,
educational background, and Center time commitments, presents in
public forums educational materials to promote community
understanding of mental health and enhance community response to
mental health problems. According to Center policies, participates
in staffing of persons served to identify problems and establish
goals and objectives for treatment and assumes management
responsibilities for cases assigned. Functions in accordance with
the policies of ALM Hopewell Center, state and federal regulation,
and within his/her professional code of ethics. MINIMUM EDUCATION,
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor degree in Human Services (social
work, psychology, psychiatric rehabilitation, or related field) or
equivalent experience in a human service, behavioral health, or
residential service setting.
