By providing wholesome meals in conjunction with nutrition education, we're equipping students with the tools needed to live a happy, healthy life.That'sNourishing a Brighter Future!Job Summary As an Assistant Food Service Director, you will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day food service operations of a medium to large volume location. You will manage and lead a team of associates, and will be responsible for talent development, managing client relationships, profitability, and supporting financial goals in an assigned area.Responsibilities:* Customizes and implements FISD and Compass Group and nutrition and wellness programs and initiatives in assigned dining location(s)* Develop and implement protocols and related to allergy management to ensure the safety of meals for students with dietary restrictions* Conduct bi-annual allergy training with foodservice team* Establishes relationship and maintains partnership with school health and wellness program/initiatives designees; helps facilitate joint wellness initiatives, promotions and calendars with school wellness groups* Develops mastery of FISD and Compass Group wellness and sustainability goals, standards, initiatives, programs and resource materials* Uses FISD and Compass Group resources to customize nutrition education, wellness initiatives & sustainability promotional programs* Develops & presents materials for health fairs, program launches, regional & district meetings, client meetings, wellness events, tastings, nutrition education in the classroom and beyond the dining hall, etc.* Contributes to wellness related social media efforts* Participates in menu review and recipe development* Supports and assists unit managers as needed which might include customer service and holding associates accountable to standardsQualifications:* Registered Dietitian -Commission on Dietetic Registration of the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics (AND) Certification and State Licensure, where applicable* Bachelor's degree in food and nutrition or related field of study, Master of Science in Nutrition or a related field preferred* Advanced written and oral communication skills; ability to apply complex mathematical concepts* Strong presentation and time management skills; advanced computer skills, management and leadership skills, advanced problem solving skills and outstanding interpersonal skills* Culinary and/ or foodservice experience preferredApply to Flik today!Flik Independent School Dining is a member of Compass Group USACompass Group is an equal opportunity employer.
