The Supervision division supervises banking institutions and
provides central bank services in the 8th District. The division's
Digital Transformation Consulting (DTC) unit helps other areas
solve business problems and make better decisions. DTC applies data
science techniques including statistical models and machine
learning to financial and operational datasets for automation,
providing insights, increasing efficiency, and forecasting.
We are looking for an experienced Manager to lead a group of data
scientists and analysts to conceive, design, and implement
intelligent solutions for business partners across a variety of
domains and organizations. You will report directly to the Officer
over the Community Banking Research and Outreach group. DTC is a
burgeoning unit, as such the Manager would work with the Officer to
set a strategic direction, market our products, and communicate the
team's capabilities with all stakeholders. Given that DTC is a
relatively small group, you will be hands-on and work with the team
in coding and applying statistical data techniques.
**Responsibilities**
+ Manage a team of data scientists and analysts.
+ Provide vision and strategic direction to the team, including
researching new analytical methods, tools, and data sets to produce
novel work.
+ Lead data science and software projects from conception to
completion; Including provide estimates of work effort and time for
completion, and assigning tasks to team members.
+ Promote Agile development practices by maintaining code libraries
and doing rapid prototypes.
+ Coordinate testing and support user acceptance testing and
implementation activities.
+ Collaborate with other data analytics and business teams across
the System
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Statistics/Applied Mathematics, Data
Science/Analytics, Computer Science, Econometrics, or a related
field.
+ 7+ years related work experience, including 3 years of managing
or influencing teams.
+ Experience with business process improvement, including process
mapping and workflow automation.
+ Mastery of multiple complex statistical methods including machine
learning; including experience coding with Python and implementing
such models.
+ Hands-on experience developing analytical tools, APIs, front-end
web applications and back-end, including developing databases and
data pipelines.
+ Working knowledge of collaborative coding and version control
tools (Git, GitHub, GitLab).
+ Experience deploying solutions to server and cloud platforms,
including credentialing, data security management, and process
scheduling.
+ Experience with C#, Java, JavaScript, HTML5, SQL, Visual Basic,
APIs, Python, and R
+ Candidates with less experience will be considered at a lower job
grade or salary
+ US Citizen or lawful permanent resident intending to become a
citizen who meets certain other requirements

Salary: 115,000 - 155,000
