Strategic Account Manager - Large Groups - St Louis,
MissouriLocation: Aligned to an Elevance Health office, with a
hybrid work schedule and local travel expectations as needed. The
ideal candidate would be located in St Louis, Missouri, yet this
position will consider candidates in the state of Missouri for the
right candidate.Responsible for the growth and retention of
existing accounts to include upsells to a higher level of
products/services based on business size and scope. Acts as a
resource to team members and may assist with on-boarding of new
sales associates.How you will make an impact:
- Acts as a consultative collaborative partner with brokers,
consultants, and key decision makers.
- Acts as primary client for a book of business of large group,
commercial medical insurance clients.
- Develops strategic business plans to address broker and/or
- Achieves retention and growth targets through expert execution
of sales process.
- Cultivates deep trust-based relationships and develops
comprehensive understandings of client needs and priorities.
- Conducts broker/agency education on pertinent topics.
- Coordinates with internal partners to meet and exceed client
- Drives opportunities for additional growth and product
- Be an industry and product expert at the local, state, and
federal level; continuously updates knowledge in a rapidly changing
- Acts as a resource to team members and may assist with
on-boarding of new sales associates.Minimum Requirements:Requires a
BA/BS and a minimum of 6 years of sales experience; or any
combination of education and experience which would provide an
equivalent background. Sales license required by day 30 of
employmentPreferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:
- Experience working in the managed care/healthcare insurance
industry strongly preferred.
- Experience interacting confidently with key stakeholders, as a
subject matter expert and comfortable with influencing
- Excellent written, oral, presentation and interpersonal
communication skills with the proven ability to negotiate
expectations between multiple parties.
- Proven ability to resolve complex issues in a fast paced and
high demand environment.
- Mastery of Microsoft Office products, most notably Teams,
Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Salesforce strongly preferred.Be part
