Resident Care provides leadership and oversight to assigned
communities in areas of resident care, regulatory compliance,
performance improvement, risk reduction, clinical and staff
management, as well as state licensure survey readiness.
Additionally, this position provides leadership and oversight for
resident care and quality programming across the portfolio.
Responsibilities will include:.Communicates and trains staff on
Spectrum protocols and participates in policy and procedural
developmentMaintains up-to-date knowledge of all rules and
regulations pertaining to resident care in each assigned state and
responsible for keeping informed of industry and health care trends
and standards, applying new knowledge to meet the changing needs of
residentsReview and follow-up on community incident reports that
are health or injury related and develop/monitor plans of
correction in accordance with Spectrum policies and
proceduresMonitors the implementation of current policies and
procedures, which reflect adherence to corporate and external
regulatory guidelinesParticipates in State and Federal surveys and
compliant investigations. Supports and follows up with facilities
in identifying trends and assists in the development of corrective
action plansGather performance improvements indicators and survey
data to identify trends. Develops Plans of Corrective Actions with
the Regional VP of Operations, Executive Directors and Vice
President of Resident CareSchedules periodic site visits to provide
supervision, clinical expertise, ensure communication, and to
monitor the overall operation of the resident care department.
Conducts facility reviews based on operational needs, changes in
management and commitment to regulatory complianceResponsible for
the development and implementation of training programs for team
members in the assisted living environment meeting state and
federal requirements as well as company policies and
proceduresAssists community management with resident care issues,
hiring of nursing personnel, personnel training and challenges
Requirements:Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing with
licensing authorityMaster's Degree requiredMinimum eight years of
experience in progressive leadership roles in the acute care,
community or long-term care settingRegional or Divisional
experience overseeing multiple communities or service lines in
multiple hospitals required.Possesses geriatric assessment skills
and is knowledgeable in geriatric injury care and preventionMust
have current knowledge of best practices for senior care and
dementia carePossesses the ability to train staff and assess and
implement systems to improve careExcellent verbal and written
communication skillsComputer literacy requiredTravel 50% or
