You will also drive operational effectiveness and efficiency to assist us in ensuring financial integrity and strength and achieving business goals.

The Senior Risk Manager will join the Finance Risk Management team to lead the Firm's Sarbanes-Oxley risk management program and assist with Finance's risk management program. The Senior Risk Manager will be responsible for leading stakeholders through planning, risk assessments, enhancements, execution, and reporting. This position will work in partnership with many stakeholders including Finance leaders and risk representatives from other divisions.

  • Act as an independent advisor for leaders and associates by facilitating the risk assessment process of high-risk areas and processes to ensure the significant risks within the process are addressed, including but not limiting to ethical business practice, company policies, regulatory requirements
  • Advise on control design to mitigate operational risks and be able identify when control environment can be improved
  • Consolidate and report risk assessment information across areas to allow business and senior leaders to effectively manage the firm/division's risk level
  • Advise and assist business process owners on performing root cause analysis and the development of controls to effectively mitigate the identified control gaps
  • Prepare risk documentation and synthesize risk data into meaningful reporting, tailored to various audiences and levels in the organization
  • Assist Risk Leader in developing risk strategy to maximize the firm's benefits whilst minimizing risk exposure
    • Bachelor's degree (business, finance or accounting preferred)
    • Series 7 & 66 within 12 months of employment as required by business area
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, as well as other software programs and databases.
    • CPA, CIA, CFE, CISA, or FRM preferred
    • 6+ years public accounting, internal audit, risk management, or internal control experience with comprehensive knowledge of process analysis and control design techniques required
    • Previous direct and cross-functional team leadership skills or project management experience preferred
    • Ability to independently identify, prioritize, monitor, communicate, and/or resolve issues
    • Ability to lead and facilitate risk discussions with various stakeholders within the organization
    • Demonstrates ability to work in a highly collaborative team environment by incorporating effective listening and collaboration skills
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work at all levels of management, including senior management
    • Strong time management and organizational skills required
      Problem Solving:
      • Strong critical thinking skills required.
      • Ability to connect the risks across processes, areas and divisions to understand how risks impact the firm at all levels
      • Ability to recognize and implement solutions affecting processes, procedures, systems and/or controls to manage risk
      • Ability to solve complex, non-routine problems. Must be able to understand the upstream/downstream impacts to other departments, divisions and third party organizations and escalate when needed
        Decision Making:
        • Medium to high level of authority
        • Responsible for consulting with and providing independent assessment and oversight of controls throughout the division

The salary range for this role is based on national data and actual pay is based on skills, experience, education, and other relevant factors for a potential new associate:
