Position: Director of SalesFull Service HotelJob DescriptionThe Director of Sales & Marketing is responsible for driving the hotel's sales efforts with the overall goal of achieving maximum revenue, guest satisfaction and loyalty. This role will include building client relationships, prospecting for new clients, making cold calls, writing and negotiating contracts, conducting site tours, working with hotel operations staff to plan and execute events, groups and transient business.Job RequirementsDedicate significant portion of time to direct sales consisting of both inside and outside sales calls, cold calls, property tours and responding to all RFP's.Consistently work on the development of new business opportunities across all market segments.Assist hotel in meeting or exceeding assigned revenue goals, primarily, but not limited to: guest rooms, meetings and events, incremental and RevPAR Index.Actively participate in budgeting, forecasting and managing expenses to achieve company expectations.Performs sales audits to ensure information accuracy in property management systems, sales software systems, and general reporting.Supervise and train sales manager/s to solicit existing and new clients, foster additional business, and attain repeat bookings.Participates in yield management meetings, as necessary.Participate in weekly sales meetings and participates in all hotel related meetings as directed by General Manager.Develop special sales activities and promotions and monitor return on investment.Conduct market analysis to determine client needs, occupancy potential, rates, etc. for hotel.Must be willing to have involvement in local tourism associations.Must be able to work independently and simultaneously manage multiple tasksJob RequirementsThe ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of full-service hotel sales management experience. This person will be responsible for selling to all markets.
