Responsible for overseeing the current and future technology of the
Edward Jones-- Canadian business segment which includes planning,
strategy development and tactical decision-making for the firm;
work in partnership to execute objectives and activities with other
teams; participate in creating and communicating the big picture
(including priorities); ensure prudent use of the firm--s financial
resources; participate in resource allocation for best interests of
Edward Jones; develop and implement a personnel structure that
supports successful achievement of objectives in their specific
area of responsibilities; implement a robust people process to
find, train, support, retain and advance a winning team; develop a
successful plan for their role and the leaders they are responsible
for; challenge and contribute knowledge, time and expertise to find
answers. Serve as a driver and advocate of the Edward Jones'
Canadian business segment technology. The Director will work
collaboratively and cross-functionally with internal stakeholders
to evaluate processes, systems, tools and methodologies and work in
partnership with the US Technology leadership team to develop and
integrate strategic technology for Canada.
- Bachelor's degree required, degree in Computer Science,
Management Information Systems, Engineering or Mathematics
preferred or related work experience.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the Wealth Management
Technology domain demonstrating strong career progression in the
industry is required.
- Experience should include supporting existing software or
hardware environments, project leadership, designing technical
solutions, large implementations to production environments,
multi-national systems, process design, team building, mid and
long- range planning, resource allocation/leveling and people
leadership (feedback, recruiting, hiring, termination, development
- Leadership, strategy and communication skills required.
- Experience leading globally dispersed multi-cultural teams
within a global and complex organization.
- Well-versed in establishing, monitoring and executing plans and
