Military Veterans are Encouraged to Apply. The Operations Director will oversee the operations leadership of the Manufacturing and Packaging Departments. The role ensures that we have the right management systems in place in order to meet the safety and quality standards and forecasted production schedules while being cost efficient. This role leads the operations department in its drive toward zero accidents, zero defects, and zero waste and actively serves as a member of the Site Leadership Team. The role is responsible for creating and implementing new processes, technical management of existing processes and the overall continuous improvement in Production activities. As a senior leader, they will coach their peers and managers in leadership & behavioral competencies and GSK expectations to deliver high impact business results. This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career, these responsibilities include some of the following: Develop and implement operational standards in accordance to Safety, cGMP, Quality standards and GPS. Assist in the development and implementation of the site's direction and long-term strategic plan. Develop the operating and capital budget for manufacturing and packaging departments. Provide leadership to set objectives and ensure performance standards are met. Deploy GPS ways of working to drive performance improvement across the site. Analyze inefficiencies and lead efforts to maximize site efficiencies (OEE), reduce waste, improve quality, improve customer delivery and control the costs of both Manufacturing and Packaging departments. Develop standards of accountability and reporting of Direct reports. Successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously by managing resources, scheduling and delivery of goals. Communicate key findings and best practices to SLT and Site Director. Foster successful cross functional relationships with all other functional groups on site. Manage, champion and drive the site transformation program, ensure delivery of the site's improvement projects. Support all initiatives on site coming from transformational projects and any other initiatives. Use of GPS tools and a sustainable GPS culture into the site population in production. Make sure the area is following all requirements from Safety, Process Safety, Quality, Regulatory, etc. support the site in any internal or external audit in representation of Production team. Achieve GPS targets with delivery of GPS benefits in a safe and compliant manner Deploy DAI culture across the Operations organization and sustain the projects oriented to support the 5 attributes (Data & Analytical Information, Customer Obsess, Agility, Growth mindset and Execution Powerhouse). Identify and support plans to mitigate risks impacting Safety, Process safety, Quality, Compliance, Business and Financial. Why you? Basic Qualifications: We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals: Bachelor's degree - Manufacturing, Engineering or Related field 3 years' experience managing an Operations/Production process in Healthcare or Consumer Company. 3 years program, project and process management and continuous improvement expertise Experience with End to End Supply Chain and cGMPs and Quality Management System. Experience coordinating manpower requirements meeting daily operational goals. Experience with production models, capacity scheduling and managing day to day tactical issues. Preferred Qualifications: If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus: Master's degree - Manufacturing, Engineering or Related field.
