Internship About Us: At Solutions AEC, we’re a design-build
engineering firm with a strong focus on delivering innovative and
efficient MEP systems for our clients. We take pride in exceeding

thoughtful, cost-effective design. We are seeking talented
individuals to join our team as we continue expanding our virtual
design and construction capabilities, including the integration of
AI into our workflows. What You’ll Do: As an Electrical Engineering
Intern with SAEC, you will gain hands-on experience working on a
variety of exciting projects. You’ll support our senior engineers
and designers in tasks that range from conceptual design to
construction documentation. Responsibilities may include: Assisting
with electrical system design and layout for commercial and
industrial projects Performing calculations for power distribution,
lighting, and other building systems Utilizing design software
(Revit and others) to produce electrical drawings Supporting the
Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) team in 3D modeling and
coordination Assisting with technical reports, research, and
equipment specifications Collaborating with mechanical, plumbing,
and other engineering disciplines to ensure a fully coordinated
approach Learning about building codes, standards, and
energy-efficient design practices What You’ll Learn: Electrical
System Design: Gain hands-on experience in designing and laying out
electrical systems for commercial and industrial buildings,
including power distribution and lighting. Software Proficiency:
Learn to use industry-standard design tools like Revit to create
and update electrical drawings. Collaboration & Coordination: Work
closely with other engineering disciplines to ensure cohesive,
coordinated project designs. Technical Knowledge: Develop an
understanding of electrical calculations, building codes,
standards, and sustainable design practices. Technology
Integration: Explore advanced technologies such as 3D modeling and
Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) systems and learn how AI is
integrated into engineering workflows. Professional Development:
Improve communication, problem-solving, and project management
skills in a real-world engineering environment. These objectives
aim to provide interns with a well-rounded understanding of
electrical engineering in the context of MEP design. What We’re
Looking For: We are searching for driven individuals with a passion
for engineering, innovation, and continuous improvement. You’ll be
a good fit if you: Are currently pursuing a degree in Electrical
Engineering or a related field Have basic knowledge of electrical
system design and calculations Are familiar with Revit or other
related design software (preferred but not required) Have strong
analytical and problem-solving skills Are detail-oriented and eager
to learn Can work collaboratively in a team environment Have
excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Are
passionate about sustainable and energy-efficient building

Working hours are Monday - Friday between 8 AM - 5 PM Summer
Internships 35-40 hours per week Fall/Spring Internships 16-24
hours per week, working with course schedules
