Job Description Job Description HiFyve is hiring a CNC Set Up Machinist in the Manufacturing industry in St. Louis, Missouri! Salary: $28-29 per hour Shift: 2nd 2:30 to 10:30 pm Location: St. Louis, MO Job Duties and Responsibilities Work closely with Engineering to produce tooling utilized within the manufacturing facility. Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot multiple CNC machining centers. Carry out routine tooling setup and maintenance including drills, end mills, taps, and reamers. Remove and install vises and other fixtures accurately and safely. Maintain and service CNC machines, including coolant upkeep, machine cleaning, and filter changes. Operate CNC machining centers in a safe and efficient manner. Perform basic troubleshooting of CNC machining programs. Calibrate measurement probes, tool setters, and other CNC setup equipment. Adjust tool and work offsets as required and set rotation on larger parts. Prepare materials using provided equipment such as band saws and surface grinders. Machine precision parts accurately and in a timely manner. Obtain forklift and hoist certification through employer-provided training. Education Requirements Associate degree in Machining or 5 years of experience in a machining position. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong understanding of engineering drawings and ability to follow setup instructions and tool lists. Proficiency in shop math and precision measurement in machining. Mechanical troubleshooting skills and solid understanding of machining mechanics. Ability to use basic machinist tools including calipers, micrometers, and test indicators. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
