Job Description Job Description Ruby Electric is seeking a
full-time Generator Installer and Technician to join our team in
Springfield, IL, serving customers within a 50-mile radius. This is
a full-time position offering steady hours and competitive pay
ranging from $22 – $36/hour. Aside from earning competitive pay,

ROLE AS A GENERATOR INSTALLER AND TECHNICIAN Each day will begin at
our Springfield location before traveling to job sites within the
50-mile service area. You will spend your day performing
preventative maintenance on generators, diagnosing and repairing
both mechanical and electrical systems, and servicing units by
changing air filters, oil, spark plugs, checking battery levels,
and more. You will also be involved in the installation and hook-up
of home standby generators. At times, you will work independently,
while other projects will require working alongside a small crew to
ensure that each job is completed safely and efficiently. YOUR
SCHEDULE This position is full-time, Monday through Friday, from
7:30 AM to 4:00 PM . Employees will report to our Springfield
location each day before traveling to their assigned job site or
service area. REQUIREMENTS FOR A GENERATOR INSTALLER AND TECHNICIAN
2 years of experience working with generators Valid driver's
license Experience reading manuals and following instructions as
well as running a job and troubleshooting challenges Knowledge of
wiring, 24 – 480 volt systems, troubleshooting, and blueprint
reading Ability to operate equipment such as excavators, bucket
trucks, scissor lifts, backhoes, and bobcats Ability to climb
ladders, work in attics and crawl spaces, and handle extreme
