Waste Connections, a leader in sustainable waste management solutions, seeks a Region Landfill Engineer to oversee the design, operation, and maintenance of landfill sites across multiple regions. This role ensures environmental compliance and operational efficiency while aiding in the development of forward-thinking waste disposal solutions. As a Region Landfill Engineer, you will have the opportunity to make significant contributions to both local communities and global environmental goals through innovative waste management techniques. Plan, design, and oversee construction and maintenance of landfill facilities. Ensure compliance with state and federal environmental laws and regulations. Collaborate with environmental scientists, planners, hazardous waste technicians, and other engineers. Develop operations plans to minimize environmental impact and maximize waste containment efficiency. Monitor and report on the status of landfill gas, leachate systems, and ground water. Work with cross-functional teams to improve waste processing techniques. Administer budgeting, project management, and resource planning for assigned landfill projects. Knowledge of environmental regulations and guidelines pertaining to landfills. Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other engineering software. Excellent project management skills. Ability to conduct and interpret geotechnical and hydrological investigations. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred. Certification in Landfill Operations.
