Job Description:
Waste Connections, a leader in integrated waste services, is
looking for a dedicated Region Landfill Engineer to oversee the
engineering operations at our regional landfills. In this role, you
will ensure that our facilities not only meet industry standards
but also align with Waste Connections' commitment to providing
reliable and environmentally responsible waste management solutions
to our residential, commercial, and industrial customers. Design,
develop, and oversee all engineering projects at regional landfill
sites ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
Prepare and manage budgets for projects and operations in the
region. Supervise and guide landfill staff, providing technical
support and training when necessary. Conduct regular site
inspections and audits to ensure all processes meet environmental
standards and company policies. Collaborate with environmental
scientists, planners, hazardous waste technicians, and other
specialists to address environmental and disposal issues. Produce
and present detailed reports on landfill status to senior
management, including recommendations for optimizing operations.
Stay updated with new trends and advancements in waste management
technologies and practices. Strong proficiency in engineering
software such as AutoCAD. Excellent project management and
supervisory skills. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to
manage multiple projects simultaneously. Knowledge of environmental
regulations and safety standards. Strong communication skills,
capable of conveying complex technical concepts in a clear manner.
Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred. Certification in
Project Management (PMP) is advantageous. OSHA HAZWOPER
certification can be beneficial.
