Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a
Human Engineer to join our Human Engineering team in Berkley, MO.
Position Responsibilities: - Apply Human Engineering knowledge and
principles to the analysis, design, and evaluation of complex
systems - Define system performance requirements to ensure safe and
successful human operation of physical, functional, and program
interfaces for all system operators - Apply human performance
principles, methodologies, and technologies to the design of
complex systems - Develop and implement research methodologies and
analysis plans to test and evaluate developmental prototypes -
Apply a knowledge of military standards (such as MIL-STD-1472,
MIL-STD-1474, MIL-STD-1787, MIL-STD-3009, MIL-STD-411F, MIL-STD
516) to meet program requirements - Coordinate with
interdisciplinary teams to integrate HE considerations into the
overall system design and development This position is expected to
be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work
onsite at one of the listed location options. This position
requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which
the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. Final U.S. Secret
Clearance Post-Start is required. This position requires ability to
obtain a Special Access Program (SAP) clearance, for which the U.S.
Government requires U.S. Citizenship only. Basic Qualifications
(Required Skills & Experience): - Bachelor of Science degree in
Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing
Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics,
Chemistry, Cognitive Psychology or other Human Engineering related
field of study. - 10 or more years of experience in the field of
human engineering. - Level 5 - Bachelor's degree and 14 years'
experience or Master's and 12 years Preferred Qualifications
(Desired Skills & Experience): - Extensive knowledge of FAA Part 25
certification requirements related to human machine interface
design and operation, including pilot compartment cert criteria
related to layout & arrangement, controls, indications, alerting,
airplane systems & equipment operation (25.771, 25.773, 25.777,
25.1321, 25.1322, 25.1309(d - Understanding of Human System
Integration (HSI) in the defense acquisition process - Knowledge of
military standards - Ability to derive Human Engineering
requirements - Experience supporting defense programs - Experience
in program documentation of the HE processes and products in a
format consistent with US Military Data Item Descriptions -
Experience in Human Modeling - Experience with the user interface
software prototyping tools - Knowledge in Human Perception and
Cognition - Experience with Human Performance Modeling - Experience
in workload assessments and situation awareness assessments -
Experience in conducting tasks analyses - Experience in Agile
Development - Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering
Typical Education/Experience: Education/experience typically
acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited
course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes
manufacturing engineering technology), computer science,
engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g.
Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience
or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience

Summary pay range (Level 5): $147,050 - $198,950 Applications for
