The Gund Company: Take Care of Each Other, Take Care of the Customer and Take Care of the Business Job Summary The Quality Engineer will be actively involved with customers and the QMS, with the aim of meeting or exceeding quality objectives and improving customer satisfaction. The Quality Engineer assists in the implementation and maintenance of all quality system requirements including final inspection reports, PPAP, customer concerns, process control plans, supplier issues, and customer specific requirements. Essential Job Functions Responsible for quality system development and supporting product quality improvementsLead projects and problem-solving activities (e.g. 8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa) to resolve customer complaints, audit findings, or customer returns in a timely manner that prevents reoccurrence.Develop, report, and take action to improve metrics related to quality; i.e., cost of poor quality, customer complaints, product non-conformances, etc.Establish and implement process control plans to include capability studies, gage repeatability and reproducibility (Gage R&R) studies.Provide quality related documents to the manufacturing floor, including control plans, work instructions and Production Part Approval Process Packages (PPAP).Monitor production floor processes for conformance to control plans and customer requirements which includes fit, function, reliability, durability and reappearance criteria.
