seeking a Lead Industrial Engineer in Berkeley, MO to assist in
leading rate readiness activities in an Industrial Engineering
capacity!Various programs at the Berkeley site are preparing to
increase production rates, and this position will assist in
ensuring strategies are in place to implement changes.Position
Responsibilities:
- Leads research, design, development, improvement, and
implementation of processes and tools to enhance schedule
performance, lower cost, and improve quality, for large scale
systems integration and asset utilization.
- Leads execution planning by using project management, planning
and scheduling and shop load practices
- Leads operations planning, includes work statement analysis,
budgeting and forecasts, capacity and constraint analysis and
production change, to ensure technical goals and objectives are
met.
- Leads the development of models, databases and spreadsheets to
analyze data and provides summary analysis and metrics for
consultation to leader and customers.
- Applies advanced industrial engineering concepts, approaches
and techniques to product, process and services to meet program
requirements.
- Reviews the development of complex plant and equipment layouts,
capacity plans, accident prevention measures, sequencing of
operations and work flows.
- Identifies new techniques and technological developments for
integration into the production process and service
operations.
- Designs, maintains, and optimizes the production system by
integrating design, supply base, facilities, equipment, and
personnel. Reviews work flow design and analysis.
- Reviews plans and programs for facility/factory modifications
and revisions to operating methods.
- Evaluates product assembly instructions and standardizes
assembly practices.
- Monitors production, supply chain logistics, performance
visibility and recovery planning support.
- Ensures compliance with established industry safety, design
standards and ergonomic guidelines.This position is expected to be
100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite
at the listed location option.This position requires the ability to
obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government
requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret
Clearance Post-Start is required. Basic Qualifications (Required
Skills & Experience):
- Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree in
engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or
chemistry
- 9+ years of experience in an industrial engineering or similar
role (or 7+ and Master's)
- 5+ years of experience working in a manufacturing / production
environment
- 5+ years of experience with process improvement, Lean
Manufacturing and data analysisPreferred Qualifications (Desired
Skills/Experience):
- 5+ years of rate readiness experience working with multiple
groups, teams or organizations in a quality / manufacturing
environment for continuous improvement initiatives.
- Proficient experience in leading and contributing to rate
readiness activities, manufacturing processes, recovery, and
scenario planning.
- Ability to effectively communicate with engineering peers,
senior management, and non-engineering support staff.
- Experience leading, mentoring and developing entry-level,
associate and mid-level engineers
- Experience in cross-functional leadership, collaborative
problem solving, building lasting relationships & proficiency in
written and verbal communication
- Experience using analytical, collaboration and organizational
skills.Typical Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree and
typically 9 or more years' experience in an engineering
classification or a Master's degree with typically 7 or more years'
experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with
typically 4 or more years' experience in an engineering
classification. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree
from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer
science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred,
although not required, accreditation standard.Relocation: This
