Products Membrane Solutions is seeking a Process Engineer for the
design and execution of Air Products Membrane Solutions Process Gas
membrane systems, including H2 recovery, NH3 purge recovery and
other systems. In addition, this position will support the Membrane
Solutions Global Services and Support team to analyze customer
data, troubleshoot existing systems, and facilitate customer
replacements/startups.
The successful candidate will have process engineering experience,
as well as field experience with gas processing equipment,
preferably in natural gas or petrochemical industries, with
membrane process design experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
Aspen heat & material balance simulations for new and existing
customers to enable them to use our membrane products in a safe and
efficient way
Use engineering expertise to execute process and equipment designs
for Process gas membrane systems
Process Flow Diagram (PFD) development
Aspen Plus simulations for the generation of heat & material
balances
Provide process engineering support for bid development
Support of P&ID development, Operability Reviews and Hazard
Reviews
Performance test and troubleshooting efforts at plant
facilities
Training of customers in the safe installation and operation of
membranes
Work closely with functional teams including commercial, project,
mechanical, manufacturing, machinery, and start-up
Be a technical resource for product line development and project
execution including project specific specifications, flowsheet
development, tool and product-line documentation maintenance and
after-startup support
Work closely with Technology Management and process engineers to
support applications development activities as well as
participating in P&ID reviews and HAZOPs, potentially at
customer offices
Qualifications & Skills:
This position requires a B.S.in Chemical Engineering or
equivalent
7+ years of Process Engineering experience (membrane systems and/or
hydrocarbon processes strongly preferred)
Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to
work successfully in cross functional teams
Excellent interpersonal skills for taking care of customers with
little membrane experience
Initiative and self-confidence to work independently while
traveling alone or at customer sites
Creative mind set and eagerness to explore novel solutions
Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally
to support world-wide customer base. Estimated average annual
travel typically 10%
