This is a 12+ month (potentially multi-year)_REMOTE contract with
position. DescriptionWe're looking for an AWS Cloud Engineer to
help us improve our systems for running harvest analysis models.
Currently, a team of engineers are responsible for the workflows.
They take statistical models written by data scientists and use AWS
cloud services to connect them to up/downstream data and run them
at massive scale. This workflow is one of the most important at in
this area of the company, since this analysis drives what products
we advance through our R&D pipelines. So, we need to make sure
that our systems can scale to accommodate high load and are
resilient enough to accommodate unusual data or other
scenarios.
We need a Cloud Engineer (Mid) with the following skills:
Required experience with--- AWS Batch--- RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, or
Kafka--- SQL--- Scala--- IntelliJ--- Partnering with multiple
engineering teams on high-impact projects--- Understanding complex
IT systems--- Delivering results on a deadline--- Communicating
technical concepts in writing and speaking
Preferred experience with--- PostgreSQL databases--- AWS Lambda---
Amazon RDS--- Amazon ElasticCache, Redis, or other in-memory data
store--- Interacting with APIs via REST and gRPC--- Working with
data scientists to deploy analytical models at scale
