Quality Assurance EngineerGreater St. Louis, MO12-Month Contract-to-HireSeeking a mid-level Quality Assurance Engineer to join the Home Delivery Web Application Engineering team. This team's focus is delivering high-quality web applications adhering to enterprise development best practices. This is a highly collaborative team that owns and supports some of the most critical features in Member website. Craftsmanship, pride in ownership and passion for excellence are core expectations.Technologies include: Jest, Junit, Java, SpringBoot, ReactJS, JavaScript, ES6, HTML, CSS, NPM, Node.jsProcess/Practices: Pair Programming, Continuous Monitoring, Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Deployment (CD), JIRA, Confluence, PCF, Jenkins, and XL Release.Qualifications:* 2-4 years of work experience in software quality assurance* Hands on work experience with automation testing* Knowledge of Postman or other API testing tools* Expertise in related technical stack.* Exposure with Agile development methodologies is highly desired* Demonstrated problem solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other stakeholders or team members to resolve issues* Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills* Strong customer service focus* Strong facilitation, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills* Ability to adapt in a dynamic work environment and make independent decisions* Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple prioritiesLevel Expectations:* Solid knowledge of software quality assurance processes, tools, methodologies* Expertise in end-to-end testing* Serve as a subject matter expert in automation testing* Determined to show persistence in continuous learning by researching to collect valuable information within the software industry* Extraordinary attention to detail* Function well in large-scale, highly complex, cross-functional / platform environment* Motivated to interact and collaborate with development team and knowledge share* Should be comfortable establishing detailed and comprehensive documentation for others to use* Strong interpersonal skillsEssential Functions:* Improve application quality and reliability by implementing good standards and processes* Increase productivity by implementing tools and processes* Serve as the quality assurance expert regarding technical testing questions* Thoroughly identify and document application bugs* Ensure quality is maintained by following development patterns and--standards* Design, develop and apply automation scripts on new and existing applications* Coordinate internal testing exercises* Stay up-to-date with latest quality assurance processes, strategies and tools* Interact with architects, technical project managers, developers to ensure that application solution meets customer needs
