We are seeking a motivated and confident Director of Engineering responsible for providing overall direction and guidance to the engineering activities of the organization with the objective of building the engineering team to support our growth and to further our reputation for engineering and design excellence.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead the engineering organization to assure engineering designs are both technically correct and efficient in the utilization of labor.
  
• 
  Develop, implement and manage the processes, systems and procedures to assure consistency in the engineering products/service that we deliver.
  
  
• 
  
  Manage the engineering organization to accurately assess 3D BIM and CAD engineering competencies and assure that the right engineers are assigned to projects where they will excel.
  
  
• 
  Be a recognized engineering expert with our customers and other subcontractors through visible engineering presence on key projects.
  
  
• 
  Take the lead on key engineering initiatives and support other key PayneCrest initiatives.
  
  
• 
  Grow the engineering capacity and capability by effectively recruiting, hiring, onboarding, training and developing top engineers.
  
  MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  
  
  • 
    
  • BS in Electrical Engineering
    
  • 5 years or more experience managing designers, project engineers and/or project managers
    
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
    
  • Design and engineering methods that directly relate to installation drawings while working within current 3D BIM and AutoCAD platforms
    
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
