Full Time - 40 hours/week Responsibilities - Develop and deliver
onboarding and competency programs using evidence-based practices.
- Create orientation and ongoing education plans for licensed and
unlicensed staff. - Foster a positive learning environment and
utilize diverse teaching strategies (simulation, mock events, case
scenarios). - Partner with leadership and academic institutions to
support education initiatives. - Serve as mentor, resource, and
role model promoting excellence and safety. - Maintain proficiency
in unit-specific skills, EMR systems, and technology tools. -
Ensure compliance with Mercy policies and assist with drills and
education on knowledge gaps. Education - If Bachelor's degree has
been attained, 2 years' clinical experience is required. If
Associate's degree is the highest level of degree attained, 10
years hospital nursing experience or 5 years' hospital nursing
experience if active enrollment in a RN to BSN program. - Current
appropriate state license if required in discipline. - AHA BLS
provider. Other Requirements - Demonstrates clinical knowledge
related to evidence-based practice with the credibility to
positively influence the delivery of patient care. - Proven ability
to organize and multitask to meet project deadlines. - Computer
skills in Microsoft Office applications. Knowledge of audiovisual
equipment is an advantage. - Knowledge of equipment/technology used
in delivery of patient care. Preferred - Certified or progress
toward certification in a specialty related to responsibilities (if
available in discipline) preferred. - 2 years teaching experience.
- Additional life support certifications as required by specialty
(ACLS, PALS, NRP, STABLE, TNCC and/or ENPC). Why Mercy? From day
