Elementary School is seeking a dedicated and qualified Reading
Interventionist to join our dynamic team. The Reading
Interventionist will play a crucial role in supporting students'
literacy development by implementing targeted intervention
strategies, assessing individual needs, and collaborating with
teachers and parents. The successful candidate will have a passion
for literacy, a strong understanding of reading instruction, and
the ability to work collaboratively in a student-centered
environment. Key Responsibilities: 1. Assessment and Analysis:
Conduct assessments to identify students' reading levels,
strengths, and areas for improvement. Analyze assessment data to
inform targeted intervention plans and instructional strategies. 2.
Individualized Intervention: Provide one-on-one or small group
reading intervention sessions to students with identified reading
difficulties. Develop and implement customized intervention plans
that align with students' individual needs and learning styles. 3.
Collaboration: Work collaboratively with classroom teachers,
special education staff, and other stakeholders to integrate
intervention strategies into the overall curriculum. Communicate
regularly with teachers and parents to share progress, discuss
strategies, and provide recommendations for at-home support. 4.
Professional Development: Stay current with research-based best
practices in reading intervention and attend relevant professional
development opportunities. Collaborate with colleagues to share
expertise and contribute to the school's professional learning
community. 5. Data Tracking and Reporting: Maintain accurate
records of intervention sessions, progress monitoring, and
assessment results. Generate regular reports to update teachers,
administrators, and parents on students' progress. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Education, Reading Specialist certification,
Special Education or related field (Master's degree preferred).
Valid teaching certification. Proven experience in providing
reading intervention at the elementary level. Strong understanding
of literacy development and evidence-based intervention strategies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to
collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and other
stakeholders. Familiarity with a variety of assessment tools and
data-driven decision-making.
