This team is responsible for the Wells Fargo Foundation, community relations, impact investing, and integrating sustainability, human rights, social justice, and equity considerations throughout the company.Reporting to the Head of ESG Integration, this position will sit within the ESG Integration team as part of Wells Fargo's Sustainability group. The ESG Integration team provides strategic leadership for Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) programs, policies and initiatives throughout the business.-- -This role will support the company in all areas of corporate, investor, and client-focused ESG disclosure reporting, including the annual ESG report, ESG goals and performance data, Social Impact and Sustainability highlights document, and TCFD report. This position will take lead on implementing ESG ratings and ranking strategy and engagement on behalf of the company.The role serves as a thought leader on ESG reporting and disclosures to ensure the company is delivering best in class reporting, is up-to-date on ESG reporting frameworks, standards, and trends, and is providing clear and transparent disclosure of our ESG policies, commitments, programs and practices with our stakeholders.-- -The preferred location for this position is in Charlotte, NC; Minneapolis, MN; Phoenix, AZ; St. Louis, MO; Dallas, TX; Washington D.C.; New York, NY; San Francisco, CA. May consider other locations.-- - This position is equivalent to a Social Impact Lead Specialist job title.Specific responsibilities include: Lead in the creation of the company's annual Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) report. Co-manage in the creation of the annual ESG Report and associated documents, in partnership with the ESG Integration team, corporate leaders, Corporate Communications and managing external consultants, as needed. Collaborate with Investor Relations on ESG related engagement with stakeholders, including investor calls, annual meeting, and ad-hoc ESG related requests. Respond to ESG risk assessments from rating and ranking organizations (ISS, MSCI, S&P, Sustainalytics, etc.) and engage with these groups on ESG topics and controversies. Serve as a subject matter expert in SASB, GRI, the UN SDGs and other best practice reporting frameworks and standards. Partner with finance to expand quantitative reporting in alignment with standards.-- - Work with the Social Impact and Sustainability data team, support the metrics and data related to ESG reporting and disclosure. Deliver evidence based written and visual summaries of ESG performance for both internal and external audiences, including executive dashboards, scorecards, slide decks, and reports. Track and monitor development of country specific requirements related to non-financial reporting and work with compliance to ensure we are meeting our obligations while considering potential reputation risk ramifications on our approach. Serve as thought leader on emerging trends and best practices in ESG/sustainability reporting, disclosure, and engagement and share with applicable internal stakeholders. -- -Required Qualifications8+ years of community development or sustainability experience2+ years of leadership experience4+ years of ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) reporting and disclosures experienceOther Desired Qualifications Strong knowledge of current tools and trends in ESG/sustainability reporting and disclosure, especially regarding SASB and TCFD requirements.-- - Experience with MSCI, Sustainalytics, S&P, ISS and other rating and ranker organizations, and experience in reviewing and responding to rater and ranker criteria.-- - Experience with investor engagement on ESG related topics. Demonstrated ability to communicate complex subject matter in a clear and compelling manner. Analyze/synthesize data, manage projects, and research industry trends to inform decisions, set strategic direction, and measure outcomes. Ability to work effectively in a team environment across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important. Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision in a structured and highly regulated environment.
