Job Overview
The Senior Financial Analyst is a critical role within IPG and will
focus on delivering advanced financial insights, strategic
recommendations, and operational support to drive business growth
and efficiency. The Senior Financial Analyst will work closely with
senior leadership and cross-functional teams to provide actionable
financial analyses, identify performance trends, and support
budgeting and forecasting processes.
The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with strong
analytical skills, a deep understanding of financial modeling, and
a demonstrated ability to influence decision-making through clear
and impactful communication.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Analysis - Prepare, analyze, and present
accurate financial reports, including variance analyses, trend
analyses, and key performance indicators (KPIs), to senior
management.
Budgeting & Forecasting - Lead the preparation of the annual budget
and rolling forecasts by collaborating with department leaders to
ensure alignment with company objectives.
Financial Modeling - Develop, maintain, and refine complex
financial models to evaluate business scenarios, profitability,
investments, and other strategic initiatives.
Operational Support - Partner with cross-functional teams to
provide financial insights, supporting initiatives related to cost
optimization, pricing strategies, and process improvements.
Data Integrity & Financial Systems - Ensure the accuracy,
integrity, and consistency of financial data across reporting
systems. Leverage ERP and business intelligence tools to improve
reporting accuracy and efficiency.
Strategic Advisory - Collaborate with leadership to assess
financial performance, evaluate investment opportunities, and
identify potential risks and opportunities to drive strategic
decision-making.
Compliance & Internal Controls - Monitor adherence to accounting
standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements, ensuring
a robust system of internal controls.
Ad Hoc Reporting & Special Projects - Take ownership of
high-priority projects and reports requested by senior management,
ensuring timely and quality deliverables.
Qualifications
Education - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or
a related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
Experience - Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in
financial analysis, planning, and reporting, with a preference for
candidates with corporate finance or consulting backgrounds.
Technical Skills - Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel,
financial modeling, and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle). Experience
with business intelligence tools like Power BI or Tableau is highly
desirable.
Analytical Skills - Exceptional analytical and problem-solving
abilities with the capacity to work with large datasets, develop
insights, and recommend actionable solutions.
Communication Skills - Outstanding written and verbal communication
skills with the ability to present complex financial information
clearly to diverse audiences, including senior leadership.
Attention to Detail - Strong organizational skills with a high
level of accuracy, ensuring the precision of financial reports and
analyses.
Leadership - Demonstrated ability to work independently, take
initiative, and lead cross-functional collaboration.
Financial Acumen - In-depth knowledge of financial principles,
accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS), and business operations.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in the chemical blending and distribution industry or a
similar field.
Familiarity with financial risk management and strategic
planning.
Proven track record of building strong business partnerships and
providing financial guidance to non-financial stakeholders.
